Portsmouth 0 Charlton 1

Well this day started of with me getting to the pub to find it bloody closed, after walking all the way to Southsea!!!!!! Well with the use of my mobile I met my mum at a pub that was open near the Kings Theatre it is called The Goose At The V & A. Well this was another pub I used to go into a few years ago for a couple of drinks with my mates and I think it had a different name then and I think this used to be a Police Station! So in the pub I had a couple of Old Speckled Hens lovely!!!! A change from the usual Newcastle Brown Ale. This pub is ok but no Football on the telly and on a mach day’ but we did get to sit on a sofa.On the way to

Well the match was very poor, we seemed to have no fight in us, but we should have won against Charlton who are on a poor run, don’t get me wrong we deserved to have lost but to a team in the bottom three. It seemed all the fans attention was directed at Thatcher who earlier in the Season had sent Mendes to Hospital. We lost but the referee’s assistant was very poor, ok it is a hard job but even my Nan could do better than that idiot. Well it would be an ex Pompey player who scored against us Faye fired in off Campbell with 11 minutes left after being set up by Bryan Hughes. Pompey almost grabbed a dramatic point in the dying stages but Carson threw himself to his left to keep out Cole's header. I left the game in a bad mood not that we lost so much, but for the way we played.

Pompeygary’s Man of the match Campbell The only one that looked on pace.
Pompeygary’s Worst Man of the match The rest of the Pompey team nuff said

No hand shake

At the start of each Prem game the players line up and shake hand with the other team, but Pedro Mendes will refuse to shake hands with Charlton's Ben Thatcher. This all comes from when Thatcher hospitalised Mendes with a challenge which the Portsmouth midfielder describes as "barbaric". So Thatcher will be at Fratton Park and I for one will give him a worm welcome.

Two bad lads

Lomana Lualua has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.A Portsmouth Football Club spokesman said they were looking into the matter and would not be making a statement.Well this is the second time Lua Lua has had a night in with the boys in blue in the last few mounths. I think Lua Lua has a few problems that he needs help with before he comes back to play for us again.

Glen Johnson has been arrested and given an £80 fine after he and another man were caught stealing from a B&Q store in Kent. A police statement said: "Kent Police arrested two 22-year-old men... on suspicion of theft in Dartford."
B&Q said: "We can confirm two men were apprehended in our Dartford store on the afternoon of 17 January, following an alleged shoplifting incident involving a B&Q bathroom suite." What!!!! this man is on more money I week than I get in a mounth so why did he need to chav a toilet seat!!!! idiot.

So we get another in

Pompey have signed Arsenal defender Lauren on a two-and-a-half year deal. This is a good one for us to get, he has not played to much in the last year bad knee you see.
"Lauren is an outstanding player. He is a great athlete and professional, very strong and quick, too," Pompey boss Harry Redknapp told the club website.

Lauren added: "This is a great move for me.

"Portsmouth are having a great season and are pushing for a place in Europe and I aim to be playing my part in that challenge.

"I have been very impressed with the club's plans for the future, both on and off the pitch, and this was why I chose to come to Fratton Park.

Portsmouth's new signing will go straight into the squad to face Charlton on Saturday. Play Up Pompey!!!!!!

This week I will be taking the camera to the game

Well I will have the digital camera with me for the game on Saturday against Charlton, I will take pictures through the day on the way to Portsmouth and the pub and so on . If this works well I will take it and use it on this blog for the rest of the season.

A Marquee to drink in .

Portsmouth FC is inviting supporters to join in the fun at the next home game against Charlton.

The Club will be opening its Fans Experience Marquee, where supporters will be able to enjoy a drink before and after the match. For those of you wanting to keep up-to-date with all the sporting news, Sky Sports will be shown on screens inside. There will also be drinks promotions, as well as plenty of entertainment.

The marquee will be on the old Covers site in Anson Road, behind the North Stand and will be open from 11:30am to 7:00pm and entry is free for anyone with a valid matchday ticket.

Things going on at Pompey

So Avram Grant is wanted by Chelsea as a coach (he is mates with Abramovich I hear) and Redknapp will not get in his way.......
Redknapp allso admits Sulley Muntari is unlikely to sign for Portsmouth Football Club.
The Pompey boss has been chasing the Udinese star since last summer, yet the Italians decision to hike the asking price to a staggering £10million has forced him to look elsewhere for reinforcements.
"I would not have thought Muntari will be coming here," Redknapp told The News. "I'd be surprised - what they are asking for is too much. We'll move on. If people are more than they are worth, we won't buy them."
and Dennis Wise is being linked with Portsmouth's out-of-favour centre-back Andy O'Brien.

Pub for match

The India Arms at Great Southsea Street, Southsea . This is a pub I went to qite a bit for a few drinks in my youth mmmmm takes me back.

TRANSFER RUMOURS PART 2

Pompey will keep Kanu & Campbell

I hope so LINK

Portsmouth 1-1 Tottenham

Well the last day of my holiday was taken up with a football match, and I can think of no better way to end the holiday. So to the pub and what a busy pub it was ….bloody busy, I got a drink and got a good seat to watch the football on a BIG screen. When my mum arrived the pub was even busier and to top that one of the bars tills went down but we got our drinks.
To the match this was a poor game both teams looked tired and as the match went on it looked like it was going to be a draw that was until Benjani Mwaruwari put Portsmouth ahead with a right foot shot from 20 yards out that was aided by a Callum Davenport deflection. There was little festive spirit early on as Hossam Ghaly was left with a bloody mouth after receiving a kick to the face from Noe Pamarot - one of four ex-Tottenham players in the Pompey Hossam Ghaly lost four teeth ouch!
The second half was better untill Spurs got a goal back with a good header from Steed Malbranque the rest of the game wes a real mess with both sides failing to score. It did hack down with rain at times getting us wet and the lino to and ask him if he wanted a hat to keep his bold head dry? But he shook his head and we had a laugh with that, so we got a hard earned point at home to keep us in sixth place so its to the FA Cup at Fratton Park this Saturday against Wigan and I hope we have a good run in that.

TRANSFER RUMOURS PART 1

1) Portsmouth will swoop for Old Trafford star Kieran Richardson on a six-month loan deal. (News of the World)

2) Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp admits he hopes talk of an offer from Chelsea for Sol Campbell is only a rumour.

It may be hard to imagine the 32-year-old defender playing for Chelsea, especially with John Terry making a rapid recovery from a back injury, but Redknapp would not stand in Campbell's way if he asked for a transfer.

"You wouldn't want to lose him, but if he said he wanted to go, what could you do? Not a lot, really," Redknapp said. "I hope Chelsea are not interested in him. If I lose him, I am in trouble."

03) Nwankwo Kanu is demanding Portsmouth allow him to join Ajax during January.

The striker told Vanguard: "I am waiting for Ajax's offer. I have told Portsmouth I want to leave. They should accept the offer and let me go. My mind is made up. I have great memories of Amsterdam and I know great things can happen there if we return."

04)Portsmouth goalkeeper David James is being linked with a sensational return to Liverpool.

The People says Reds boss Rafa Benitez is considering James as he prepares to include Pepe Reina in a bid for Valencia striker David Villa this month.

James had a colourful career at Liverpool and made some famous cock-ups, but Benitez rates him the best English keeper around and would have no fears about going in for him.

I hate Bolton 3 Portsmouth 2
